ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 19, 2002
7:00 P.M. Called meeting to order. Present: Robert Merritt, Ellen Abelson, Paula
Keefe and Mark Mazur. Signed a bill voucher, exemption and abatement
records.
7:05 P.M. Old Business
The Board was told that the Personnel Board will be reviewing the job
descriptions and ratings of our Administrative Assistant and Administrative Assessor positions at their 1/16/03 meeting at 7:30 P.M. The Board decided that one or more of them would attend the meeting with the Personnel Board.
The Board reviewed and then approved as amended an insertion for Town
Reports from our office.
The Board reviewed and approved as amended a response to the request
by Town Administrator Ben Puritz for a report on Capital Outlay projects for our office.
7:15 P.M. New Business
The Board read a letter requesting the apportionment of parcel 007013000, 145 Mansfield Street. The Board reviewed and then signed a notice of apportionment and notices of divided assessment for the property.
The Board reviewed and then approved as amended minutes from meetings held on 11/14/02, 11/21/02 and 12/12/02.
The Board reviewed documents offering the Town the right of first refusal to purchase property, owned by Goodband, that was taxed as agricultural land under M.G.L. Chapter 61A.
The Board took the following actions on the fiscal year 2003 applications for exemption for the owners of the following properties:
PIN 122-16-13 Cl. 17D denied
PIN 92-38 Cl. 17D granted
PIN 70-170 Cl. 41C granted
PIN 70-170 Cl. 18 granted
The Board read a letter from nine residents of Moose Hill Parkway. They
are requesting a joint hearing on their abatement applications. The Board then approved as amended a letter to be sent to them in response.
