ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

AUGUST 19, 2004

 

7:00 P.M.  Called meeting to order.  Present:  Richard Gorden, Ellen Abelson and Mark

                  Mazur.

 

  1. The Board approved the minutes to our 7/29/04 meeting.
  2. The Board reviewed information relating to plans for the updating of our assessments including the following:

-         A preliminary version of an Interim Year Adjustment Report

-         A listing of changes to tables and schedules for FY2005

-         Sales ratio studies for single family houses, two family houses, vacant land and residential condominiums.

 

7:20 P.M.  Meeting with Richard Kramer

            Mr. Kramer, the Board and the Administrative Assessor discussed the abatement

            he was granted on his vacant lot for FY2003 as a result of an ATB case.  They

            also discussed adjustments that were made to his property’s assessment for the

            subsequent year and ATB regulations in such cases.  Planned adjustments to the

            assessment of his lot for FY2005 were also discussed.  Mr. Kramer said he

            thought the Administrative Assessor should have been more cooperative with    

            him in their discussion earlier this week.

7:35 P.M.  The meeting with Mr. Kramer ended.

 

  1. The Board discussed and then approved our FY2005  updating plans.
  2. The Board reviewed and then approved the application of Joyce Williams for abatement of her motor vehicle excise due to blindness.
  3. The Board granted a motor vehicle excise abatement to H. Sneider due to his being handicapped.
  4. The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2005 exemptions for the owners of the following properties:
