ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

DECEMBER 2, 2004

7:00  P.M.    Called meeting to order.  Present: Ellen Abelson, Paula Keefe,

                   Richard Gorden and Mark Mazur.

1. The Board reviewed and approved, as amended, the minutes to our

11/18/04 board meeting.

2. The Board read an article on Sharon property taxes from the Boston

Globe.

3. The Administrative Assessor described his meeting this past Tuesday

with the Board of Selectmen.

4. The Board was told of plans to present our FY2006 budget to the

Finance Committee next Monday the 8^th of December.

5. The Board reviewed our overlay accounts, then estimated that we will be

able to release $300,000 from the overlay accounts in the Spring of 2005.

6. The Board discussed a request from a group of taxpayers from Arboro

Drive to meet with the Administrative Assessor and/or the Board

 of Assessors to discuss the FY2005 assessment of homes on their

street. The Administrative Assessor will try to schedule a meeting with them.

7. The Board reviewed and approved as amended an explanation of the

costs, benefits and impact of quarterly tax bills from the point of view of the Assessor’s Office.

8. The Board reviewed and then signed a cover letter to the Selectmen

concerning quarterly tax bills.

                   9.   The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2005 applications for

owners of the following properties:
