ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES

MARCH 11, 2004

6:45 P.M.   Called meeting to order.  Present:  Ellen Abelson, Richard Gorden and Mark

                   Mazur

1. The Board reviewed and approved, as amended, the minutes to our 3/4/04 meeting.

2. The Board reviewed the bids for our building permit assistance project.  They voted to select low bidder Dave Cabral for the project.

3. The Board read a letter from a taxpayer complaining about the amount of her

veteran’s exemption.  The Board reviewed and then approved the draft of a letter to be sent in response.

4. The Board was handed a packet of information on proposals to change or create new

exemption programs.  The Board was told that the Board of Selectmen want to meet with them on 3/30 or 4/6 to discuss exemptions.

5. The Board was shown an email from Selectman David Grasfield requesting

information.  The Administrative Assessor was directed to start gathering the

information and drafting a response.

6. The Board was told that the Board of Selectmen were requesting that they meet with

them at their next meeting on Tuesday 3/16 to discuss the overlay accounts.

7. The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2004 applications for abatement

on the following real estate parcels:
