A meeting of the Sharon Board of Health was called to order at 7:15 P.M. on Monday evening, November 8, 2004, in the Sharon Town Offices, with the following members in attendance: Suzi Peck, Sherwin Goodblatt, and Anne Bingham, Chair.
Minutes of meeting of October 4, 2004
VOTED: (Bingham/Goodblatt) Bingham, Peck and Goodblatt voted in favor of approving the minutes of October 4, 2004, as amended.
Hunters Ridge, Memo from Jim Andrews re: review by third party. Jim has many concerns. Anne Bingham put forth a Motion to invoke section of Article 7 which requires 3rd party review before we move forward with a BOH review.
Motion: (Bingham/Peck) to invoke section of Article 7 entitling us to have applicant pay for 3rd party to review work of applicant and that letter be sent to Hunters Ridge informing them of that requirement. All in favor.
Variance Hearing - 30 Beaver Brook Road
Balance between putting effluent in ground and filling with soil.... FAST system very efficient. Operated by wastewater treatment operator who operates system and makes sure operating correctly. Licensed by state. Homeowner would have no control over system.
Variances: 2 foot separation to wetland; setback less than 10 feet (6 feet) from a building slab. Not requiring UV because ambiguity of depth to groundwater is greater than formal declaration.
Motion to approve (Bingham): with all regular conditions namely: deed restriction of a 4 bedroom property, proof of O&M testing. Ecoli testing is required due to nature of system. Also require low flow fixtures (toilet) and recommend low flow appliances.
Goodblatt seconded. Unanimous vote in favor.
Containerized Rubbish Disposal
Suzi Peck will follow up on this......seemed to think model contract language to encourage recycling exists at DEP. She will have comments by next Monday.
Miscellaneous items: Waiting for a list from Dr. Lapuck outlining outstanding issues with the schools. Would like to receive before meeting of November 29th.
