Suzi expressed concerns about the following issues:
Health of the residential wells near the project
Low flow water conservation to protect water usage
Formula used to calculate daily water usage
BOH regulations re:  tight tanks for beauty shop
Anne’s concerns were:
Pharmaceuticals in the water
Increase traffic
Amount of blasting needed to build garage
Stanley and Jay talked about the increased Health Department costs and staffing needed for this project.
Bob Daylor, Marty Spagat and John Kusmiersky addressed the above issues and would provide the information to the BOH.  They strongly encouraged the BOH to visit one of their existing projects.

Anne Bingham informed Brickstone that she is a write-in candidate for Selectmen.

White Knight Aerobic Treatment:  Robert Silver explained that this is a DEP-approved aerobic treatment to fix organically failed systems.  Article VII prohibits additives in septic systems. According to the Board of Health, this treatment meets the Sharon BOH definition of additives.  Jim Andrews expressed concerns about a possible conflict of interest with White Knight and septic pumpers.  Elizabeth agreed with Jim’s concerns and would like to see evidence based studies on the treatment.  Stanley asked for information on the naturally occurring bacteria used in White Knight.  Anne feels that there is “an appropriate niche” for the treatment and would like Robert to return to provide additional information.  Robert will find an applicable site, i.e., a failed system which he feels appropriate for this system and will work with Jim Andrews on this....and forward the technical information to the BOH.

Lyme Disease Education Project:  Jay has spoken with Joy Turpie, Curriculum Development re:  Lyme disease education in the Middle and High Schools.  Jay will attend Dr. Hartman’s program in Medfield and will set up a regional program with other BOHs.  Their goal is to formulate a pilot program that can be distributed nationwide.

Meeting adjourned at 9:15 PM.
