Minutes:
VOTED: (Stead/Welch) unanimously to approve the minutes of the meeting of March 8, 2010, as amended.
7 Robin Road
The Board reviewed a complaint received from 7 Robin Road re testing requirements. The Board agreed to take another look at the requirements at a future meeting. Suzi Peck will work on developing a computer program which will provide ongoing reminders and reports.
25 Meadow Road:
Variance request: to replace a Presby system( which was previously approved) with a conventional system...due to costs involved in I/A testing. Three variances are requested...including a property line variance. Suzi Peck stated that, in instances such as these, the BOH has requested I/A systems. Jim Andrews stated that the Presby is a passive system, with no mechanical parts. Suzi Peck and Andrew Stead suggested amending the variance previously granted to eliminate quarterly testing, and require the same testing as required by DEP (currently annual testing). If DEP should change requirements, BOH would consider changing requirements. The applicant will review DEP requirements. In the meantime, at the applicant’s request, the Board agreed to continue the hearing (for the conventional system ) to
the next meeting. The applicant may call to cancel.
VOTED: (Peck/Welch) unanimously to amend the variance granted on November 2, 2010, to limit the required testing to that which is currently required for the Presby system by Mass. DEP.
Retention Pond
Per Jim Andrews: there was a requirement for a stormwater retention pond for Unitarian Church. The Board agreed this is not really a BOH issue...an engineering issue. The question was referred to the Town Engineer. Andrew Stead viewed the site last week and found it to be dry. Jim Andrews will discuss the matter with Joe Kent.
