Additional Regular Session

April 30, 2013

Attendance:

Trustees:  Bob Levin, Alyssa Wiener Rosenbaum, Roberta Saphire, Carolyn Weeks, Cheryl Weinstein

Guest:  Sue Martin, Interim Director candidate

The meeting was called to order at 4:10p.m. by Bob Levin.

It was discussed that Sue could help set goals for the new director and she would keep the library running.  Interview questions were asked regarding areas such as work ethic, experience, management style.  She currently works 10 hours a week.  She would work 3 days a week for us.

Sue could start mid May.

· MOTION:  Bob moved and Carolyn seconded a motion to hire Sue Martin as the Interim Director of the Sharon Public Library at a date to be determined and at a salary equivalent to that of the current director.  The motion passed unanimously.

· MOTION:  Bob moved and Roberta seconded a motion that when we have Sue Martin’s start date we will inform the Director that she will be on paid administrative leave starting (date to be determined.)  The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:  Bob moved at 5:20 p.m. and Cheryl seconded the motion to adjourn for the afternoon.  The motion was unanimously approved.

Action items:

Board:  Finalize a start date for Sue.

Board:  Determine the date of the paid administrative leave.

Board:  Inform director of paid administrative leave once date is determined.
