The Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 7:30 PM in the Sharon Community Center located at 219 Massapoag Avenue, Sharon, Massachusetts to review a proposed Amendment to the "Zoning By-Laws" that would replace in its entirety Section “2330.  Light Industrial District” and would revise or replace other sections of the "Zoning By-Laws" including Section “2473.  Maximum Lot Coverage,” Section “2475.  Building Location,” Sections “4531.d” and “4532.d” (wastewater generation and treatment), and Section “6323. Applicability” (site plan approval and major site plan approval).

The Article would add additional permitted uses within the Light Industrial District to facilitate development or redevelopment of sites in the Light Industrial District.  Most of Sharon’s Light Industrial District is within the Water Resource (Aquifer) Protection Overlay District and revisions are proposed to requirements for that Overlay District."

The full text of the proposed Article is available in the office of the Sharon Town Clerk at 90 South Main Street and in the Engineering and GIS Division office of the Sharon Department of Public Works at 217R South Main Street during normal office hours.
