        The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held at 7:30 P.M. in the Sharon Town Offices with Chair Norman Katz, Selectmen Walter Joe Roach and  David I. Grasfield and Town Administrator Benjamin E. Puritz.

        The meeting was called to order at  7:35  P.M.

Minutes

VOTED: (Roach/Grasfield)  Voted unanimously to approve the Executive Session minutes as presented and the minutes of December 30, 2003,  as corrected:

Under Avalon Bay/Goodband Property

Correct Robin Stuart of “Glenhill Road” to “Glen Hill Road.”

Approve Banner - Martin Luther King Day Celebration

VOTED: (Roach/Grasfield)  Voted unanimously to approve a banner for the Sharon Martin Luther King Day Celebration Committee for the dates of January 1/12 - January 21 in the Second Position.

Town Report Insert

The Board reviewed a request for an insert to the Annual Town Report from the Roger Dennett Sharon Rotary Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

VOTED: (Roach/Grasfield)  Voted unanimously to allow the insert in the Town Report for the Roger Dennett Sharon Rotary Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

Planning Board Agenda

Selectman Grasfield noted items scheduled before the Planning Board Meeting of January 7, 2004 as follows:
                        8:00 P.M.       Review Cell Town Overlay Plans
                        8:15 P.M.       Old Post Road 40B Comments

Cholesterol Screening - January 8, 2004.

Selectman Grasfield noted EMail announcement from the Board of Health re cholesterol screening clinic to be held from 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon - and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Town Offices on Thursday, January 8, 2004.



Fire Dispatch

Selectman Grasfield noted an article in Norfolk County Works Fall/Winter 2005 re viability of consolidating fire and emergency medical dispatch among several Towns.  Ben Puritz stated that Fire Chief Mann has been actively involved in this endeavor.

The Board thanked Marcia Liebman for the wonderful cookies provided this evening.
