The Sharon Standing Building Committee congregated at 6:30 p.m. at the entrance to the Middle School for a walkthrough of the school and then proceeded to the Construction Trailer for their meeting.
The meeting of the Sharon Standing Building Committee was called to order at 6:55 p.m. at the Sharon Middle School Project Trailer, 75 Mountain Street. In view of the fact that there was not a quorum present, an official meeting could not be held. The following items were discussed by the Committee:
1. Administration
Future Meetings: Tuesdays August 17 – 31, 2010 September 14 – 28, 2010 at the Community Center Conference Room
2. Sharon Middle School Project Updates
Michael Dupuis of Consigli Construction Co.
Mike Dupuis gave the following update (documents attached) of the Construction Manager’s Report:
· Early Release Packages
· Trade Contracts
· Subcontract-Short term plan
· Status of Buyout
· GMP Summary
· Schedule (4 Week Look Ahead attached)
· Schedule
· Miscellaneous: (a.) Back-to-School meeting with Principal O’Rourke and Ken Wertz (b.) Nstar Electric, Bay State Gas, Verizon & Comcast (c.) Sprague Energy
Griffin Electric should be sending the Certified Payroll Reports directly to Consigli Construction Co.
Mike McKeon of Kaestle Boos Associates
Mike McKeon updated the SSBC with the following Project Update (documents attached):
Everything seems to be on schedule for School opening on Monday, August 30, 2010. KBA presented two options of the project sign layout for SSBC review. The Committee selected option #1 showing an aerial view of the school. The Committee suggested that “SHARON SCHOOL DISTRICT” be changed to “SHARON PUBLIC SCHOOLS” and under Sharon School Building Committee should be Voting Members-SSBC.
To be discussed at next meeting is a request for additional services for “Energy Analysis for Gas Rebates”
Joe Sullivan of Daedalus Projects Inc. gave the following update:
· Gas Main leak – under control – Markings by the Gas Company were not marked properly;
· Nstar – temporary power for trailers;
· Horizontal drilling running into lot a boney material.
· DPI has CPA to do cost reports
The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
