Meeting Minutes

February 22, 2011

Members Present:    Gordon Gladstone, Deb Benjamin, Colleen Tuck, Steve Smith,     

Roger Thibault, Rick Rice, Fred Clay, Rich Slater, Joel Wolk and Glenn Allen

Members not Present:  Bill Croteau, Dr. Dunham and Benjamin E. Puritz,

The meeting of the Selection Committee for the Owner’s Project Manager for the Sharon High School Roof was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Community Center.

Chair Gladstone had committee members review the four applicants in preparation for the selection of an Owner’s Project Manager for the Sharon High School roof and to rate them on a scale from 1 to 4 – (One being the best.)  The selection criteria required by MSBA for an OPM is Prior similar experience, Personnel qualifications and Current workload and capacity.  The Sharon Standing Building Committee added to the criteria Financial Stability and Certificate of Liability Insurance.

Chair Gladstone called upon each member to give their rating to the following applicants:

Skanska, Netco, Compass and Daedalus.  (attached is the description of rating system used for the selection criteria.)  The results are as follows:  Daedalus (1) – Skanska (2) – Compass (3) and Netco (4)

MOTION:  To authorize the Chair or Vice-Chair to enter into contract with Deadalus Projects, Incorporated for the position of Owner’s Project Manager for the Sharon High School roof.  (Wolk/Smith) – unanimous.

MOTION:  To adjourn this portion of the meeting at 6:43 p.m. - unanimous
